AVA Summit Ghana FAQ

  • AVA Summit Ghana will be a regional gathering designed to strengthen farmed animal advocacy across Africa. The event will bring together advocates, researchers, funders, policymakers, and movement partners to align strategy, share knowledge, and build capacity across the continent.

  • Dates and venue are still being finalized. The Summit is planned to be held in Accra, Ghana, with confirmed details to be announced soon.

  • Anyone working — or aspiring to work — toward systemic change for farmed animals in Africa or in collaboration with the region. This includes NGO staff, campaigners, funders, students, policy advocates, academics, and allied movements.

  • Yes. AVA offers Travel Award Scholarships to reduce financial barriers and strives to ensure that advocates in need can attend at least one AVA event per year. Scholarship information and applications will open closer to the event.

  • Speaker applications will open once the dates and venue are confirmed. Both established and emerging voices are encouraged to apply.

  • Yes. Exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities will be available for mission-aligned organizations once registration opens.

  • Accommodation options and discounted room blocks will be shared when the venue is announced.

  • Language support will depend on participant needs and regional representation and will be confirmed closer to the event.
